Welcome to How Low Will it Go? In this game we will try to predict the low point of a cars depreciation curve. Keep in mind we cannot predict inflation rates, therefore keep all predictions in 2015 dollars. Enjoy and good luck!
It is time to look at one of the most special variants of the Mustang in the 21st century. Arguable the most special Mustang in quite a long time the Boss 302. Currently they can be had for !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and frankly I think that it already is a bargain considering how special this car is. But I wonder how low will the price go and one day will yuppie high school boys with a big ego be wrecking these wonderful machines? The limited production is sure to push up the price right? Or will the Boss always be doomed to play second fiddle to the Shelby's of the era? You decide in the comments below!

Hint: Consider the price of the Mach I and the Cobra's from the early 2000's. Will the Boss and Shelby have a similar dynamic?

A not-seriously-abused Boss 302 will bottom at $30k

Well I am looking at one to replace my Gran Torino cause the money we could put into it we could put into a newer car. Also look at Jag XKRs they are falling in price as well along with M6's, 05 Aston Martins and 08 Masers.

Once the GT350 hits the market they'll get just below $30k, then go up from there.

We'll see low $20k Boss 302's with in 5 years. we'll see them in the $15k range before ten. In 20 years the reptilian overlords will have enslaved all of us. At which points no more Boss 302's will be had by any one and their precious metals will have been recycled into intergalactic battle cruisers.

Probably more. That's like finding a not-seriously-abused child of Adrian Peterson.

It's going to be hard, not impossible.

I think you will see them go under 30k, probably not down to 25k. I figure Ford will do another engine refresh in a year or so, making these a little less desirable.
These sold for 45k MSRP, I think it is feasible that they drop below 50% of their original selling point.

I quite enjoy making it so far. I just wish we could see the results of our predictions sooner.

I think I could agree to that. The NA V8 is on the way out so he Boss might hold more value.

What does a Jag, Aston, Maser have to do with the Mustang?

I'm impressed by the amount of people who believe the Stang will hold its value. I was thinking it might drop to Mach I prices.

Ok gotcha. My money would go towards the Boss. That'll be a future collectable for sure.

That is like comparing apples to oranges. If you really want to go with the Aston and all the magic that comes with a V12 you gotta talk to EL_Uly first. He is the resident Aston expert.

I think a good test drive of both the cars would be helpful too. I bet the Boss is faster and more involving. However the specialness of a V12 Aston is a magical thing for both owner and observer.
